Program Manager

Tier I and Tier II automotive supplier is seeking a fast-paced program manager. They are diverse in their business mix: Toyota, Honda, GM and Chrysler. Daily you will report to the plant manager and work with other engineers and staff to meet all launch and program goals.   As a program manager you will develop and manage timeline and process map for each new product; ensure designed tooling meets manufacturing requirements for capability and rate; ensure all customer shipping, packaging, labeling and logistic requirements are met; develop and manage key process inputs; manage customer interface and lead and manage cross-functional internal and external launch teams.  This position requires EXCELLENT project management skills including overseeing timelines and multiple ongoing projects and programs.  Candidates should have superior communication and follow-up skills.  Only candidates willing to work in demanding, fast-paced automotive environments should respond. Qualified candidates should enjoy floor presence, working in fast-paced environments, handling multiple projects, being detailed and thorough, working independently and communicating successfully at all levels. The organization is privately held and promotes the opportunity for key individuals to make an impact. There is travel required for this position; up to 30%.  This position does offer benefits, along with a 401K that matches up to 4.5%.

Requirements for the program manager:
1. A minimum of a 4-year technical degree, ME, MET, industrial technologies preferred
2. At least 5 years experience in a RECENT, SIMILAR automotive lead program engineering role
3. At least 10 years of automotive supplier experience
4. STRONG program management skills (including running trials, managing timelines, customer communication and material management)
5. Project management
6. A proven track record in continuous improvement
7. Strong customer communication
8. Microsoft Office

Skills preferred but NOT required:
1. Microsoft Project
2. Lean/Six Sigma methodologies

It is commutable from Lima, Dayton, Bellefontaine, Urbana, Greenville, Celina and Springfield, Ohio. There is not relocation available for this position.
