CNC OPERATOR / Machinist

Our client is looking for a competent CNC Operator / Machinist to use computer numerically controlled (CNC) machinery safely and accurately to perform a variety of functions.
CNC Operators / Machinist are highly skilled professionals, able to work with great concentration and precision. They must be responsible and comply with all safety guidelines.
A keen eye for detail and great mechanical aptitude are also essential.
Our client is looking for CNC Operators that can function autonomously (very little supervision).
As a CNC Operator for our client you will be responsible for setting up your machine, programming for each part, making any running changes, working out the needs for the project you are assigned.
This environment creates the greatest challenges, and the highest level of skill in any CNC Operator. The project/part you will be assigned to each day may only require a short (20 piece part) run.
Your work will never be mundane, or boring. Each day will involve a new challenge and project.
Since this is Tool & Die work, you will be machining parts for the assembly of a progressive and line die details.
Flexible with experience
Willing to consider someone that has run CNC mills making die details, but with no programming
experience – they will train the operator in programming (MasterCam and Work NC)
Perfect person is experienced in making die details using:
- Makino horizontal and vertical machining centers as well
- Operate various Fanuc controllers
- Program in MasterCam and Work NC
- Sheet metal die making knowledge (at least 2 yrs) to aid in program generation
- Run a larger AWEA bridge mill
- A bonus would be if you could run Wire EDMs and CNC lathes (Fanuc controls as well)
- Most all machines are sophisticated – extensive use of electronic probing, magnet work holding, pallet changers, Fanuc macros
