Position Summary:
The Program Manager is responsible for the overall program delivery of the company’s Infotainment Systems specific to an individual customer. The Program Manager will be the primary customer contact regarding schedule and development issues. With their team they will be responsible for planning and managing the end-to-end program. This includes not only planning the product development and testing, but the ramp up and readiness of the manufacturing plants. They will maintain a customer relationship and have overall ownership of the schedule, scope and budget for all of the customers’ infotainment programs.


Job Responsibilities:

Build and manage customer relationships at a release engineer and manager level.
Build and maintain a customer interface team to support this relationship and manage the overall program development. Responsible for evaluation and development of team members.
Ensure overall success and profitability of the product launch (i.e. work with sales and marketing to hit gross margins, introduce new features, etc.). Own and maintain the budget, scope and program schedule.
Manage program risk proactively, identify program risks and coordinate meetings with multi discipline functions to address risks before they become issues.
Evaluate project management processes and metrics to track and measure project success. (Manage all program/product delivery elements).
Provide weekly program status updates via the standard template. Represent the program to Sr. Leadership during program, quality and operations reviews.
Lead the program adherence to follow standard company processes and maintain program and customer-related documentation.
Be the primary escalation point for both internal and external program communications for the dedicated customer base.
Set direction and influence cross-department engagement for program execution and drive synchronization across multiple program teams.
Responsible for communicating the customer requirements within the organization and interface with multiple groups within to ensure customer’s requirement expectations are being met.


Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors in Engineering; Masters preferred.
10+ years technical experience in automotive infotainment systems.
5+ years as an Engineering Manager.
Experience with design and delivery for an automotive OEM.
Recent significant systems/ software experience with complex development cycles and span multiple release versions.
Must be able to articulate vision and influence decision making outcomes with internal stakeholders, external suppliers and the customer.
Must have a “whatever-it-takes” attitude using diplomatic leadership skills within a collaborative teamwork environment to accomplish the necessary results.
Proven and effective communication, analytical, judgment, initiative and execution skills.


Preferred Qualifications & Desired Competencies:

Extensive software development and Program Management experience. Strong software development process experience.
Technical software implementation experience with Infotainment systems.Software testing and requirements management.
Comfortable communicating with global teams in India, Brazil and Japan. Expertise in driving complex cost reduction projects and program deliverables. Business acumen.
Analytical thinking.
Drive for results, team player, change orientation, customer focus, and self-awareness. Experience with managing distributed development teams is preferred.


Eligibility Requirements:

Must be willing to travel 15% of the time.
Willingness to submit to a background screen and a drug test.
