Our client, a leading manufacturer of raw materials used in batteries, supercapacitors and fuel cells is in need of a Global Market Manager to join their business team in suburban Boston, MA. The successful candidate will assume responsibility for numerous global projects and initiatives to promote Energy Materials to leading technology companies around the world. This is a customer and market facing role requiring strong communication skills and international travel. 

  • Collect, analyze and report relevant industry, technology, competitive and market information obtained through customer visits, industry association meetings and internet search tools with a focus on energy storage in IT, grid storage and automotive applications. 
  • Develop, update and communicate market maps and market share data. 
  • Research, analyze and report on industry trends that impact business volume, margins, utilization and market share. 
  • Identify future revenue growth opportunities.
  • Use Stage Gate process to advance projects. 
  • Develop and communicate value propositions and manage pricing strategy in support of commercial negotiations. 
  • Collaborate widely with internal functions such as regional sales, technical service and marketing teams to achieve Energy Materials business objectives. 
  • Develop and roll out new product introduction plans. 
  • Manage business unit's marketing communications. 
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related Science. 
  • At least 5 years relevant industrial experience in energy storage industry. 
  • Industrial marketing experience highly preferred. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Action orientation and ability to work successfully in a team environment. 
  • Multilingual skill highly desirable. (Chinese, Japanese, Korean)
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time, including international travel.
