Reports To: Supply Chain Manager
Responsible for planning and coordinating the process of purchasing materials from foreign suppliers for production throughput. Responsible for Production Scheduling, plans and forecasts the need of materials to meet customer orders. Aids in the development of policies and procedures in the areas of procurement and inventory control. Expected to play a key role in the management of inventory. Communicates with suppliers to ensure on time delivery and manages the delivery of appropriate quantity levels based on the increase or decrease of customer demand.
Must have SAP or comparable ERP experience
Conduct cycle counts on required materials as scheduled.
Research reasons behind inventory discrepancies and aid in the corrective actions of the root causes.
Must consider best price, quality, and reliability when purchasing products.
Arranges the safe transport of materials.
Ensures materials and parts in the supply chain meet the minimum requirements for quality assurance standards.
Places purchase orders.
Aids in the development of procedures in the areas of inventory control, receiving, storage, and distribution of materials throughout the plant.
Interface directly with all departments in regards to materials that have been requested to ascertain specifications and needs.
Maintains adequate supply levels throughout the supply chain.
Follows established safe practices for receiving hazardous substances. ? Perform other responsibilities as required.
Knowledge and skills requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, engineering, logistics or other applicable discipline preferred
5+ years’ experience in manufacturing and or supply planning, logistics or related industry
Experience in Lean transformation preferred
Demonstrated management skills
Excellent communication skills: oral, written, presentation, and electronic
Bachelor’s Degree required.
: 3+ years manufacturing, supply chain, and/or logistics.
Closely integrated with other functions such as Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, Sales, Finance, and Purchasing. Strong leadership skills is a plus. Requires involvement in continuous improvement activities.
