Currently seeking a Quality Assurance Manager for a great opportunity in the Sidney/Piqua, OH area. The ideal candidate will possess 5+ years of CMS, Kanban, Inventory, Master Production Schedule management experience.  

Sidney is in SW Ohio, just north of Dayton/Troy area.  Relocation assistance is provided.   We have placed several management and professional people
with this client company in the past 4 years....dynamic and controlled growth....manufactures very popular products. 
The Materials Manager prepares the master production schedule, daily monitors the schedule; plans the inventory levels.  Directs and coordinates activities of personnel engaged in planning materials.  Responsible for supervision of the material planning group.
  • Prepares guidelines for the material planners to operate under. 
  • Assures the most effective use of CMS system.
  • Sets safety stock levels of inventory components and finished goods.  Determines component delivery schedules to support the master schedule.
  • Assists in the development of Kanban quantities to assure minimum inventory with maximum customer service levels.
  • Prepares an attainable master schedule to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders, and to sustain the balanced, targeted finished goods level.
  • Actively supports all Quality, environmental, and safety systems.
  • Communicates with suppliers to assure timely delivery.
  • Reports and resolves material support concerns daily.
  • Prepares the daily production schedule to satisfy customer needs and inventory requirements.
  • Effectively supports manufacturing by minimizing schedule nervousness and assuring component availability.
  • Analyzes inventory to maximize turns.
  • Plans for the phase in and phase out of new product introductions and engineering changes to minimize excess and obsolete inventory.
  • Manages and assesses the material requirements planning system to assure consistency; analyzes the causes for inconsistency within the process.
  • Coordinates material planning activity for material with long lead time as such to eliminate any potential supply interruption and minimize inventory
  • Bachelor Degree 
  • Minimum of 5 yrs. experience in a related field
  • Experience in a fast paced, growing environment
