Reporting to the Director of Operations, who is humble and collaborative, the Operations Manager will be responsible for multiple product sectors and all production personnel and related activities. The position oversees two Production Managers, multiple supervisors in addition to the production personnel. Leadership skills and the ability to develop, train and mentor personnel will be important aspects of the job.
Responsibilities include scheduling; coordination with other departments and senior management; proper production reporting; interface with customers and suppliers; and establishing priorities. The Operations Manager will also work closely with Engineering to ensure quality products are delivered to customers on a timely basis in accordance with company and customer standards.
This is a very hands-on position requiring a solid understanding of all facets of manufacturing operations; seven or more year’s production experience; and a strong desire to be actively involved in all aspects of manufacturing, inventory control and customer support processes. Must have prior leadership experience and a proven track record in developing people. Experience with ERP systems plus hands on experience with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement is critical.
