Plant Manager
The Plant Manager will provide managerial leadership to the entire manufacturing operational environment. The Plant Manager occupies an integral position on the Operations Leadership Team and is accountable for meeting all established goals, metrics and standards, and for assuring compliance in all areas of the operation to include Manufacturing, Maintenance, Materials Planning, Receiving and Distribution.
  • Plans & directs production operations, facilities, manufacturing engineering, equipment maintenance & site safety and is responsible for environmental program compliance.
  • Supports the S&OP (Sales and Operations) and Master Scheduling process by participating and developing supply plans, materials plans, and distribution plans.
  • Schedules production and hours of operation for manufacturing and plant services.
  • Ensures Federal, State and local regulatory compliance for facilities.
  • Leads Lean initiatives to include identified cost reduction and improvement efforts.
  • Responsible for manufacturing representation during new product development and launch.
  • Responsibility for facilities and maintenance to include purchase and maintenance of equipment, issuing POR’s and CAR’s, and for scheduling preventative maintenance.
  • Leads problem solving efforts by managing collaboration with Quality and other departments regarding root cause analysis to address quality and customer concerns.
  • Works cross-functionally to establish production and QC standards, manufacturing objectives & on-time delivery requirements.
  • Coordinates production activities with Supply Chain, Engineering, Maintenance and Quality to optimize operational performance.
  • Establishes with Finance Team and Manages departmental budgets and cost controls.
  • Promotes a positive culture through employee engagement and open communication.
  • Incorporates the planning framework of Flawless Execution into responsible projects and into organization.
  • Performs other relevant duties as assigned; i.e. special projects, programs, developmental activities, etc.
  • Degree in a relevant technical discipline
  • 5 – 7 years operational management experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 5 – 7 years in a role involving Lean tools and methodologies
