Fantastic Plant Manager opportunity with a profitable and growing manufacturer in the Rockford IL area!  We are seeking a proven hands-on leader with a background in metal stamping or CNC machining.  The Plant Manager will have responsibility over all daily operations in a primarily make to order environment.  Processes include: CNC Machining, Stamping, Blanking, Powder Coating, and Assembly.
 
Responsibilities include:
  • Evaluate Equipment and human resources, identifying needs and preparing and submitting requests for capital equipment, building and personnel.
  • Prepare operating budgets and review performance against budget with recommendations for change when appropriate.
  • Maintain production schedule and finished product inventory to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Coordinate maintenance related activities (in house staff and outside contractors) to ensure the plant is operating efficiently and downtime is minimized. 
  • Support business development, product development, marketing and sales efforts.
  • Ensure a safe, secure, productive business environment, including good housekeeping throughout the facility and proper organization of raw materials/finished product.
  • Implement and maintain corporate policies and procedures
 
KEYS TO THIS OPPORTUNITY
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably as Plant Manager, Operations Manager, or similar role.
  • Background in metal stamping, machining, and metal fabrication (experience with carbon fiber preferred).
  • Hands-on leader capable of communicating effectively to direct and motivate teams and executives, maintaining a persuasive and credible presentation style at all levels of the organization.
  • Able to troubleshoot and address quality issues.
  • Demonstrated excellence and success in leadership, mentoring, team building and coaching employees.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
