Your role in the organization:
As the Process Engineer you will be the Subject Matter Expert for process improvement implementation and Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives through project management. This role is a hybrid of process excellence, a project manager, and a CI engineer and you will be an integral part of coordinating cross functional teams and training on the floor. This is a very impactful role, we need an expert in identifying and implementing proven solutions, as well as a
leader who can be hands on with training, driving change, and a Continuous Improvement culture among the team
. You will be responsible for cost savings, product and process development, root cause, and corrective action. This role will report to the Plant Manager of a 200 person facility.
To be successful in this role:
Technical degree in Engineering or similar – Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, etc.
Plastics manufacturing experience – Injection Molding, Blow Molding, Thermoforming, Extrusion, Converting, etc.
Automotive, Packaging, Medical Device, Consumer Goods industries or similar
2+ years in a manufacturing environment, hands on manufacturing, process, or CI related roles
1+ years in using LEAN Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement or Six Sigma methodologies in a manufacturing environment – Green Belt or higher is a plus
Experience in hands on implementation, bring part of a culture change is a plus
Location – This position will be based in one of their largest facilities in Northeastern Ohio, in between Mansfield and Akron. This area of Ohio is known for a reasonably low cost of living, with great Universities nearby like Ohio State, Akron, and Cleveland so great for growing families. If you like space and being outdoors, this area is in beautiful country suburbs with year activities like hunting, golf, boating, skiing, and much more.
