Job Title: Process Technician Department: Injection Molding

Job Summary: Responsible for the setup, safety, quality, and evaluating the output of a group of injection molding machines. Must be able to install dies, set up machine programs and parameters, and program robots. Must be able to operate / evaluate product quality ensuring production targets are met, minimize downtime, and maximize quality. Must be a team player able to help train co-workers and develop work instructions.

Major Responsibilities/Activities:
Solid technical & mechanical skills with a minimum of 5 years plastic injection molding experience.
Ability to quickly assess, focus, and prioritize a situation with a sense of urgency for resolution
Technical ability to manage and lead problem resolution of complex issues across engineering disciplines
Proven ability to lead and be a change agent to proactively drive process improvements
Ability to effectively work with others across all areas of the organization in a collaborative fashion
Extensive injection molding experience and training with in-depth knowledge of the molding process
Solid knowledge of broad technical process (machining, plastics, assembly, etc.)
Exhibit strong strategic planning, group motivation, imagination, and diplomacy skills
Knowledge and experience with End of Arm Tooling fabrication writing & installing robot programs
Accurately estimate, establish, report on and deliver to, an agreed-upon project schedule
Ability to read, write, debug, & install robot programs
Responsible to support new business opportunities and support via the quality planning (APQP) process
Solid understanding and practical understanding of Quality systems such as IATF, TS 16949, & ISO 14001

Knowledge and skills requirements:
Experience working in a lean manufacturing environment
Experience with a structured problem solving approach such as A3 Problem Solving & Root Cause Analysis
Ability to maintain a high level of quality alertness
Strong Basic Math skills
Role model for housekeeping and safety practices
Ability to work effectively needing minimal supervision in a team environment
Associate degree in an engineering or related field/Bachelor’s degree a plus

High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
Work Experience: 4-5 years manufacturing
Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma or GED, Computer Skills, Quality Awareness, Manufacturing Experience 3 years, basic mechanical comprehension.
