Our growing client is seeking a Product Engineer for their Mid-South manufacturing facility. In this role, you will be responsible for leading team efforts of engineering design, development, and the support of new and existing products.
You’ll ensure the product is conforming to the design intent through product prints, processes, specifications, and control plans. As the Product Engineer, you’ll also provide engineering support for Product Line Groups, Purchasing, Supplier Quality, and Continuous Improvement objectives.
As the Product Engineer, your main responsibility will be to monitor production activities to ensure that no process or operation has a detrimental impact on product function. This includes things that would not generally be defined on engineering drawings or specifications such as material handling, storage, unapproved operations & adjustments, plus others.
Also, you’ll develop and maintain product DFMEAs, Product Verification Plans, Parts Lists, and other Quality System Documentation. Other areas you’ll work with include:
Assist in New Product Launches by developing prototype hardware & procurement, assembly & test, data analysis and design refinement
Prepare and present product concept and test proposals to customers
Provide assistance to warranty returns by determining root cause issues and provide corrective measures for production
Initiate and manage investigations using performance audits, tear-down analysis, DOE’s , 8D’s and design reviews to maintain product function and conformance to specifications and to identify and correct product deficiencies
Troubleshoot equipment, assist in layouts for integration of new products into existing plant area’s and develop FMEA and Flow Charts
Contribute to the plant’s continuous improvement culture with cost reduction efforts such as design on current products & validation of proposed productivity improvements
Salary $75,000 - $90,000 + Benefits & Paid Relocation to the Mid-South! This lovely area

Minimum Requirements for this Product Engineering position:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
At least 2 years’ experience in engineering in an automotive or global manufacturing facility
Good Organizational and Project Management skills
Knowledge of Statistical Process Controls (SPC)
Experience using CAD Software (AutoCad preferred)
Working knowledge of PLC Programming
Experience with Continuous Improvement and Cost Saving Projects
Experience and/or Knowledge of Automotive industry standards to include: SOR, APQP, PPAP, MSA, FMEA, Flow Charts, TS 16949, ETC.
