International Quality Manager
ASC Industries, Inc., a leading automotive mfg. facility headquartered in North Canton, Ohio, is seeking an International Quality Manager to be based out of its facility in Tianjin, China.
The Intl. Quality Mgr. will develop, implement and manage quality control and process control systems. The key responsibilities for the position will be to ensure continuous production of products, consistent with established standards, by performing various duties either personally or through the development of lean systems within that environment. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is organized, focused on the details and able to support the operation through the development of statistical data and product specifications to establish quality and reliability expectancy of finished products.
In addition to the aforementioned responsibilities, the Intl. Quality Manager will also:
· Supervise workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure high productivity and high technical integrity
· Provide and oversee inspection activity for product throughout the production cycle
· Provide technical expertise to the Operations teams
· Formulate, document and maintain quality control standards and on-going quality control objectives
· Apply total quality management tools and approaches to analytical and reporting processes
· Design, develop and implement quality control training programs and educate employees
· Interact with vendors to ensure quality of all purchased parts
· Prepares the organization for internal/external audits and addresses non-conformities
To be considered for the position, candidates must possess the following qualifications:
· B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering
· Min. 7 years related experience, combined with a demonstrated track record of accomplishments
· Prior supervisory/management level experience
· Foreign language (Mandarin) skill preferred; familiarity with Chinese culture a plus
· Demonstrated problem analysis and resolution skills
· Knowledge of and experience with Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing techniques
· Experience with developing/documenting procedures
· Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills and superior organizational skills
· PC proficiency, including MS Office Suite
