ELECTRICAL ENGINEER (MOTOR, DRIVE, FLUID POWER)



In this position, you will be the one who assumes complete responsibility for systems engineering and electrical engineering aspects of assigned proposals, projects, investigations, and/or other activities under the general guidance of a supervising manager.  You will operate within, and often lead cross-functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, business development, etc.) to achieve overall program objectives. Strong program management skills must be applied on all assigned activities, maintaining control of project and product costs and schedules, while satisfying all department, project, and customer requirements including customer satisfaction, cost, quality, and delivery.


 


Essential Job Functions:


 ·      Primary agent for product design, insuring that all system and/or electrical engineering design and analysis activities are complete, accurate, and meet program requirements.  Responsibilities include the following categories: Product architecture/configuration, Performance (electromechanical, electronics), Modeling, Analysis, Weight, Reliability, Materials, and Safety.


 


·      Coordinate and manage projects through to completion and provide technical leadership across work groups.  Position may require supervision of staff on assigned projects.


 


·      Create, review and/or approve product draw­ings, drawing release packages, drawing revisions and other design documentation in concurrence with company procedures and RTCA DO 178 / 254 guidelines (when applicable).


 


·      Support the Material Review Board (MRB) in the assessment and disposition of non-conforming hardware and material within the scope of assign products.


 


·      Estimate and maintain effec­tive control of project cost and schedule.


 


·       Work effectively with all functional groups and/or suppliers to achieve product performance and cost targets.


 


·       Define and manage technical and program requirements, including the generation and flow-down of subsystem specifications and requirements.


 


·       Maintain technical liai­son with customers, suppliers, contractors and other functional groups through effective teamwork and communication.


 


·      Prepare technical reports and documentation necessary to satisfy customer and program requirements, including proposals, procedures, reports, correspondence, etc.


 


·      Provide instruction, guidance, oversight and/or support to other personnel and/or disciplines supporting program objectives through utilization of engineering orders, test procedures, purchase requisitions, correspondence and other effective means.      


 


Minimum Qualifications:



  • Experience: 8 years of engineering experience, with 4 years minimum in the aerospace or similar field


  • Knowledge: Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Engineering and Technology, Computers and Electronics, System Architecture, Software (C Language), Mathematics, English, Design, Physics, Telecommunications, Production and Processing, Power Electronic Controls, and Rotating Machinery


  • Skills: Project Management, Active Listening, Troubleshooting, Critical Thinking, Reading Comprehension, Complex Problem Solving, Technology Design, Active Learning, Systems Analysis, Judgment and Decision Making, Time Management


  • Education/Certification: Requires a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering


  • Eligibility Requirement: Must be a US Person (under ITAR rules) to be eligible.


  • Must Be US Citizen or Permanent  Resident Green Card Holder


  • Travel 25% Domestic and International
